Archived from groups: rec>pets>herp (more info?)

Hello,
We are Turtle Haven Rescue. We are located in the area of Philadelphia
Pa. We are a not for profit Reptile rescue. We focus mainly on
turtles and tortoises but will except other reptiles. WE do not except
large snakes but do know who does and can pass them on.
We except no adoption fees or surrender fees our goal is to find homes
for animals that need them. We do accept donations of habitat, food,
or gift certificates for stores where such can be purchased e.g. pet
co or pet smart, we will except any reptile and have to date found
homes for all of our rescues.
WE can be contacted at or at our group
reptilesherpsturtletortoise on google groups
We will be erecting a web site in the very near future where
applicants and surrenderees can get applications and surrender forms
that they can email to us. Until then applicants can email or call us
for applications and the same for surrenders. Surrenders are no
questions asked. We understand that things can change making
surrender necessary.
We ask that if you surrender your pet that you try your best to also
surrender it's current habitat especially with hard to place iguanas ,
snakes and water turtles such as red ear sliders. This makes placing
them much easier.
Sincerely
Michelle Carolus

Turtle 2 - My turtle has been acting a big sluggish, even thought his water temp is good, UV light, heat lamp, land, etc.. didn't change anything in the tank. He was an active turtle, eating good, and now just.. slow. Ate quite a bit today. Any ideas?

How much should a box turtle eat? - OK, I found a three-toed box turtle wandering around the neighborhood and rescued it before it became raccoon food... I've been feeding her wax worms, which she seems to love. Doesn't show a lot of interest in fruit or veggies, but there's always..

Turtle (not) for sale - So the post about the box turtles for sale got me interested and I went to look at a few websites that were offering turtles for sale. What I saw atounded me. I was expecting to see all the Sulcatas for sale. But I also saw lots of "hatchling&qu...
